​Laundromat or Art Gallery? Art Gallery Kimberley is a commercial art gallery right in the heart of our enchanting downtown pedestrian area called "The Platzl", in BC's Best Small Town: Kimberley. Since our building housed laundry facilities for approximately 50 years, we decided to keep calling it “The Laundromat”.

Art Gallery Kimberley features original fine, functional, and decorative art by Canadian artists while specializing in the nature, wildlife, outdoor lifestyle, and small-town vibes of the Kootenays. We believe that art is for everyone; the experience at Art Gallery Kimberley is easygoing, entertaining, and essential! Also, it's more fun than doing laundry.

You may have heard it through the grapevine, and if so, unfortunately some of what you've heard is true: Art Gallery Kimberley will permanently close its doors on September 13, 2026. "The Laundromat" space will become available for rent starting this fall.
